I have an exhibition coming up, and I'm thinking I want to run with a fairytale theme. Not terribly original, I know, but maybe a bit less common in my medium. :) I think the idea started with a book I have always loved, which is really my mother's from when she was a child. It has beautifully illustrated fairytales like Princess Catskin, Rose White and Rose Red, Snow White and Hansel and Gretel. There's also the fact that so many of these stories seem to have their own colour scheme, like Snow White with its fresh white snow, raven black feather and bright drop of red blood. So what are some of your favourite fairytales? And I don't mean D

I have to say, despite my early optimisim, grade nine students are hard work. Hopefully a few were inspired, or at least amused, and I did get some nice exposure. Afterwards I went to Spotlight to get some materials to fill an order, and the lady operating the till worked out that her daughter had bought one of my hairclips at an exhibition last month. :XD: S
